It is hard to believe that racism still exists now a days. It is an issue that has existed since anyone can remember. To be able to end it will be a difficult task. I believe it is something that will never end. Racism has definitely gone a long way from the how it was to be before, but there will always be those groups, like the Ku Klux Klan, that will not accept the fact the we are all equal in this world. I, as a Mexican-American have experienced racism towards me and it is not how an individual person should act towards another when they don't know that person to begin with. It is a hurtful experience to see a person act towards one in one way and then act completely different with another simply because of their ethnicity and class. To say that a person is more important because of the amount of money they earn is not a good justification. In order to end racism people need to be more understanding of other peoples cultures and although might not relate to them, be able to understand them. If people who are racist would stop being ignorant and took the time to get to know the culture and values of those they dont like they might end up liking and enjoying it. Everyone is different, but that does not mean that one group is better, or more important than the other. Everyone should respect and acknowledge the others race and ethnicity, religion and faith.

The War on Drugs
The war on drugs is a difficult situation to resolve. On the one hand action needs to be taken in order for streets to be cleared of drugs. Drug dealing is a huge issue in today's society and affects not just particualar people but people in general. Things need to change and in order to do that people need to get involved. But its the people chosen to take care of these matters that are important, and hoe they decide to go about this. For example Mr. Coleman from Tulia, Texas was offered the job as underciver in order to find out who was selling drugs and sentence them to jail. However, because someone as inexperienced and racist as him was chosen the way things went about it was inncorrect and not right. Coleman sent innocent people to jail for four years for crimes they never commited. When it was time for Coleman's trial for perjury he only got probation when the evidence was clear against him. The war on crime is one that nee to be taken care of but done right. I believe no one will ever be pleased though.

What is Truth?
Truth is depends on the person and what they believe in. What one could think is the truth another could think is the complete opposite. In the media, they can twist the truth into something its not. The truth can be blown out of proportion and not tell the whole truth. Depending on what point their not trying to they can leave out key points. This can also be done in the newspaper, or just from person to person. When people gossip to each other they only tell what stood out to them or make it in a way that it really wasn't. Its up to the people to choose what they want to believe in and how they choose to take what they hear.

The end of books as we know them?
With all the technology being discovered it is hard to believe that books will still be around for much longer. Books can be accessed through apps now that allow them to be on devices such as the Ipad. It will be hard to find the original copies of books. Through the internet it is possible to read books without having to purchase them. If more and more books becoma available online it would be a great thing for people. Books that cost in the hundreds, like school books, are put online it will be more affordable for students. However making books that available can also have a down side. Most books will most likely be revised or just not the same as the original taking something away from the book and even the author. There will always be people who would rather be holding a book than a device when reading something, and for that reason both should be available to people.
